Detachable camera module

Optical systems for automatic recognition have been undergoing rapid development for years. This is good news for the GCC S400 Laser – and for everyone who works with it: the device features Smartvision® Pro CCD, a camera system for automatic registration mark recognition. Extremely practical: the camera module is detachable. Other details also demonstrate that the developers at GCC prioritise practicality. For instance, the S400 is designed entirely as an enclosed system. This protects the internal components and ensures that dust levels are kept to a minimum during operation.

Touchscreen

Another new feature for GCC that offers greater clarity is the inclusion of a 4-inch touchscreen. This means the S400 can be positioned slightly away from the computer station, allowing various settings to be monitored directly at the machine. More worktop space and height

The modico technicians have been testing the S400 extensively over the past few weeks and have raised their eyebrows in admiration on more than one occasion: the fact that the S400 can accommodate workpieces up to 280 mm in height is another point in its favour compared to many similar machines and a development that many users have been eagerly awaiting. The S400 also impresses with its maximum machining area: 1,016 mm × 610 mm is once again a significant improvement on its predecessors, such as those from the Spirit series. The S400 is available with laser power ratings ranging from 30 to 120 watts. The optionally available adapter for cylindrical engraving further expands its range of applications considerably.

Impressive speed

A machine capable of so much, like the S400 from GCC, has a lot to do and should therefore work quickly. That is precisely what it does particularly well: working at speeds of up to 3.6 metres per second, the S400 powers through its tasks and promises to maintain the highest precision even at top speed. A top performance that raised both eyebrows at the modico test centre. GCC once again lives up to its reputation as a highly flexible laser specialist. And it projects this confidence to the outside world accordingly. The Taiwanese company bluntly describes the S400 as the „best laser machine, exceeding all expectations“ for cutting and engraving a wide variety of materials.
